my multiplayer fix these days is fighting games, but I would kill for the glory days of Quake and Unreal.

The slice on the left looks lit
Fuck yeah mega man x
Path of radiance fucks
I got more than 9, but fuck it. I’ll narrow it to these before I change my mind. The top 5 are locked in place (maybe I’d swap ngb with ng2)
#My9games
Be way cooler if it was a party 😔
Fuck yeah unreal 2k4!!!
Wonderful 101 and God Hand are sick action game picks. Revengeance less so
Feels disrespectful to Kingdom Hearts tbh
Relic the rts dev? Company of heroes gang?
The genius of me playing Tomb Raider 1 is that I’m even more emboldened to tell people Resident Evil 1 on the ps1 is a fkn classic.
Like bro did you play these other ps1 games? Mikami and dem bois was on their god shit
Losing recipes
Two of those already exist, the original Resident Evil and the remake of the original Resident Evil.
Bro no shot she can handle that recoil lmfao
She krytpons that shit, there ain’t no remnants.
for sure, dantek n i have this argument, because i wont say he's wrong for being bothered by a Resi game with a shit single player, given the franchise legacy...but also I can't pretend there isn't a fun way to play that game (mercs)...cant say the same for say village or 0, they just ass.
In Mercs
Hey I told him by the end I rather take the convo somewhere else, kind of tied trying to type it all on a blue sky word count. I’m chatty as fuck
Yeah pretty sure it was more or less kosher with me n Abrams lol
Be prepared for my 5000 word soliloquy on why Metroid Prime 2 is the best one and dearest Brendan is wrong.
The sewer, the labs, and yeah Capcom does more to play with your expectations going into a remake. But creatively speaking these are recreations of existing gameplay scenarios.
Point being I’m still capable of recognizing a great game, but we know which one is a creative risk, it ain’t the remake
2 that might actually be true, that’s less true when we get into 4, even if there is a distinct difference from going from tank control to move n shoot, and 4remakes balancing decisions.
At the end of the day it’s still not a new resident evil, it’s a retread of rcpd done better,
If you wanna discuss this further I’d like to not be tied to blue skys word count.
So far do not lineup with what Mercyry did well with Dread. A new game has the benefit of being something genuinely fresh, where as a remake is a rehash by default.
These aren’t loosely related works based on a similar story (Frankenstein), they are beat by beat recreations
I don’t see the value in a remake by a team that largely makes hyper linear and directed metroidvanias of a metroidvania that isn’t hyper linear, just so a modern audience can get what if that setting but with parry and 360 aiming and easier wall jump.
The things excellent about SM
I got your point, you however seem to gloss everyone else’s counter position to this idea. Fundamentally what they would be making is a completely different thing, which warrants the question what exactly is the benefit of them remaking Sm vs making Metroid 6? I’m not against them
Making Metroid
About those games, nothing about what Nintendo has done with Metroid since should give anyone who loves super metroid the idea that they will expand on the strengths of that game.
Brother I play Capcom remakes, and my energy for them is similar. Yeah 2remake and 4remake are fantastic, but it’s a little sad Capcom can only make a great resident evil game when it’s a remake of an old already classic resident evil game
At the last Capcom expands on the core of what’s great
Don’t subscribe, I been said a grown adult can process two different versions, but don’t sell me the idea that an orange is an apple for your poor analogy.
You’re comparing a remake of movie from a completely different language to English (which let’s be clear is because cats can’t process using subtitles for a foreign language flick) and an adaptation of public domain story, to the same company remaking their own game in the same languages no less
