This should also be true of Russia with the sanctions lifted, correct?

Definitely lagging. Up exactly $1 in CA today from late Feb. Every station is over $5/gal now.

It’s mostly about thatβ€”Kevin now has to market to a whole new group of voters to stay in Congress!

But it’s also punching Johnson back for giving Kevin (a loyal GOP foot soldier) the finger. He had a bill banning all mid-term redistricting, and Mike killed it.

β€œA budget is a statement of values”
is how I learned this in PTA.

In CA, if the incumbent withdraws like this, the filing period is automatically extended for an extra five days.

The 1st graph lists 60.2% with more than immigration charges, close to 58%. If Other Crimes, Assault, and Dangerous Drugs don’t count, then Violent Crime totals 13.5% (less than 14%).

The difference is spin, pure & simple.

Note: 1st is thru Jan β€˜26, 2nd claims β€˜25. Not quite the same data?

Kevin tried to save his seat earlier, before CA passed its plan, by sponsoring a bill banning all mid-term redistricting, including in TX. The Speaker didn’t even let it get to the floor. Enjoy the payback, Mike!

Let’s call it β€œThe Reckoning”.

Yes, but he’ll gather the donations to build it and pocket them!

There is a supremacy clause issue that would have to be overcome, but it’s not clear how that would go. Outright murder isn’t in the job description of a DHS employee, after all. Then again, IANAL.

I was reacting to the statement that we have to wait for a change in administration, lest the murderers be pardoned.

Murder is a criminal charge, must be brought by the state prosecutor. Families could bring deprivation of civil rights suits in federal court, but Trump could pardon those away.

Stop your stenographyβ€”just because DHS says this doesn’t make it true. Do you know their names, and have you confirmed it with them? Until you do, this isn’t news, let alone breaking!

Murder is a state crime. Trump can’t pardon anyone out of facing charges from Minnesota.

28.01.2026 21:45 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Can the AG put out a statement that any extradition request from MN for a DHS employee present in CA will be honored immediately?

It wasn’t suggested, it was baldly stated!

Which means they effectively took $1000 from every man, woman, and child in the USA.

Their bosses who aided and abetted the crimes after the fact by lying about them & making excuses for them are accessories as well. Bovino, Noem, Miller, Trumpβ€”all of them!

The prev take is wrong: if Walz calls out the Guard, Trump can still federalize them.

The AS Gov called out the Guard to block desegregation in Little Rock. Eisenhower federalized them to make them stop. Trump could do the same.

Deploying the 101st Airborne is what desegregated the schools.

This of course also how the EC was supposed to operate: sober, wise electors would act for the good of the nation and toss someone like Trump aside, no matter how much he appealed to the body public. The founders preferred the smoke-filled room method, even before parties!

Then they don’t have representatives in Congress, particularly the House. Terms end! We could have a 230-seat House, and a 80-seat Senate, both under D control. Sure would make impeachment easier!

We don’t actually cast them by mail in CA, at least not in LA County. Instead, we drop them off in the ballot boxes that are EVERYWHERE. Nobody trusts the USPS with a ballot!

Newsom MUST announce a special election date in 14 days, to be 126-140 days after the call, primary 9-10 weeks before. Election can be up to 200 days after to line up with a statewide election. The June 7 primary is 182 days away, so expect general then, primary on May 5/April 28.

Points not made by the NYT: 1) is not and never was an explosive device; 2) buried by the time the storm was over, and so not findable then, even harder today; 3) radioactive core is metal and completely cased in metal, can’t easily dissolve into water column.

It’s warm. By this point, it’s melted its way into the snowpack, and is many feet underground.

It’s a radioisotope thermoelectric generator, not a bomb. Just another click-bait headline.

Yeah, that’s the β€œChristian” fundraising company that deliberately does no vetting at all, and is thus the darling of all these alt-right causes.

The key is gonna be how this applies to CA. The stay even notes that it strengthens CA’s case for changing mapsβ€”but will SCOTUS just find a different reason to set them aside?

Top three cities with GOP mayors are Dallas (#9), Fort Worth (#13), and Oklahoma City (#23). Dallas went for Kamala, Ft Worth for Trump, but Allred over Cruz. I think you have to go to OK City to be truly red!

I think you have to get to Oklahoma City (23rd, 700k people) before you get one that’s truly red.
