It’s… right in my face? Like directly at eye level? And I can’t tell if this is carelessness, AI photo selection, or a subtle jab at the administration what quietly says “also, blow us?”

It’s… right in my face? Like directly at eye level? And I can’t tell if this is carelessness, AI photo selection, or a subtle jab at the administration what quietly says “also, blow us?”
The war on Iran is unfolding alongside a wave of mass layoffs in the US. These are not separate crises. They are two sides of the same offensive by the ruling class against the working class.
… they better be serving red wine in chalices and special cookies, is all I’m saying
This is… an exceptionally odd photo choice
Honestly do you ever get confused about which headlines are real and which headlines you wrote? Like how sometimes, as a journalist, you forget you wrote a story until you’re researching a related piece and realize you’re sourcing your own work? Because it’s getting really hard to tell.
I've been wanting more IRL socializing so I browsed the library events and classes. A writing class! That could be good. I go into the description. It's a generative writing group where you learn how to come up with good prompts. OH MY GAWD
It’s Whiskey Friday with Tony Dokoupil, and buddy, I’m all out of Tony Dokoupil
In the world that is, this would make me so much happier.
And man… the first time I went outside and stood under the sun in my bare chest after top surgery? I felt so relieved and so stupid for waiting so long.
But told myself it was fine, that “if the world were different, and I could be seen as myself without transitioning, maybe I wouldn’t do it and just be happy, so I have to work to build THAT world.”
And then one day I realized that it didn’t matter what I would do “if”—all I had is what “is,” and
It was a lot of little things over time… but as I hit my 30s and my body started settling into a more traditionally “female” shape, my sense that “something is wrong, all of the time” got bigger and bigger. I had come out as enby, and I thought about transitioning medically all the time…
Never forget that this what The Washington Post said when Noem was nominated.
(We need more queer boxing clubs. I would literally bare knuckle box a wolverine for a queer boxing club)
This is not a toxic trait, just as an fyi
Cream of wheat is the khakis of breakfasts
Good lord it’s 735 AM here, it is too fucking early to be this alarmed and creeped out
Oh, and it’s the “worm moon?” Great, yeah, that can’t be anything but good.
Total lunar eclipse on a blood moon as we descend into global war approaching the Ides of March, you say?
Personally I can’t wait for the rapture—it’ll be way easier to date knowing all the freaky degenerate weirdos are down here with me
OH SHIT
That… is a sentence straight out of Kafka, honestly
You know for an administration so chill about hiring people with Nazi tattoos, you’d think they would know what happened when Germany started multiple wars on multiple fronts based on ideology and greed and in concert with a host of shifty and unreliable allies between 1939 and 1945.
Watching people who moved to Dubai to avoid paying taxes, who are now expecting the countries to use taxpayer money to rescue them.
They had better be right, or I’m going down there to demand answers Val
I have been yelling about this article for like… 3 hours and I could honestly yell for 3 more
A picture of “cis white gay” Atlantic writer holding his book of the same title, with the subtitle referring to himself as a “gender heretic” because apparently being even mildly challenged by the idea that maybe white men of all orientations have significant social and economic privilege is threatening enough to make you “a heretic.” Taken from X, because of course this tool is over there.
Just goddamn look at this tool. Just look at his smug, self absorbed face
Every trans woman I know has had "why not be an effeminate man?" shoved in our faces for ages and yet thus piece suggests that even once suggesting an effeminate boy might be trans is some sort of crime against humanity.
This is transphobia.
I mean is it BETTER? Yes. But unless they got them squeaky, never-refrigerated cheese curds and poutine sauce instead of gravy and someone is drinking a quart of 50 and smoking a cigarette in the kitchen… ain’t the real thing
It is a Canadian fact that the farther away you get from Quebec, the less “poutine” the poutine is. You could actually plot it, graphically.
The yukon actually ditched daylight savings a while back because bc WAS going to drop it, and then we passed the legislation and BC backed out last minute—however I can confirm we vastly prefer it this way, and the extra light seems to make a big difference to everyone.
You couldn’t make this up.
And if you did, everyone would say it’s too much.
