It takes a village. And coffee, it takes lots of coffee. And tums. The chewy ones.
And comfortable shoes. And a book just in case. And a coven of powerful witches who owe you a blood debt. That helps.
And tacos, it also takes tacos.

Flower, a dog, is laying on the floor resting her face on a shaggy rug which she is very fond of.
Flower is obsessed with this fuzzy rug. No clue how I would clean it but we may need one for our house.
Okay but hear me out:
A book club that meets by candlelight in an ominous Victorian mansion during every full moon.
y'all got a fish bowl? he's looking to rent one
Flower, a staffy mix dog, is laying on a bed with sun shining on her. But her top lip is snagged on her bottom tooth causing her to make a funny face.
Beautiful lighting on Flower being less than photogenic
Aching heart girl summer, filled with care to breaking girl summer, tender heart girl summer, healing hands girl summer
my brother if you are struggling to get laid in 2025 and you think you'd do better in a world where women are even more aggressively shamed for expressing their sexuality and also don't have access to birth control i don't know what to tell you.
As someone who loves reading sci-fi and horror, I feel some vague moral obligation to occasionally read "classic" authors.
I am struggling with Lovecraft. I respect the impact he had. But it's clunky. I at least read The Call of Cthulu and will be taking a break to read something for funsies.
Click-thru page screen capped Image of iridescent eye on peacock feather with article title "Peacock feathers can emit laser beams" which sounds really fun tbh
Good news, everyone
A katydid with a large, round, abdomen and tiny wings indicating it is a juvenile is hiding in between leaves and branches.
Look at this chunky little katydid nymph. She's gonna get her big girl wings soon!
(no, I have no clue if this is a female)
An orange cornsnake is completely buried in his bedding with just his little head sticking out.
My very cute cornsnake. This is Peaches. The snakes were adorable this week. I briefly thought he had escaped his enclosure somehow until he popped out to say hello.
If I lay down on this moss will you stack cool river stones around me like a forest air conditioner
A banana ball python squeezing badly into a little moss cave that he definitely doesn't fit in. His little nose is visible peeking out.
This is Ginger. He joined my little zoo and is generally a problem. But he's very cute.
Totally forgot I had a Bluesky.
Hello again!
Same. I don't like it. π
Flower, a staffy mix rescue dog, peeks over the arm of a couch at the camera.
Back home with my little goblin π

Day 20
Important road trip update. Kansas has more bats than I expected.
And they're kind of huge.
Actively looking for vampires from the backseat currently.
Starting a 16 hour road trip with my siblings... and we spent the first hour finding food on Christmas Eve. Thoughts and prayers, y'all
Confess your unbridled love to me in a candlelit library in Vienna during a full moon on a cold winterβs night before passionately kissing me, or kindly stop wasting my time.

Day 18
Sometimes you just need to eat a bunch of French fries about it
Sometimes Iβll be like βomg I relate so hard to all these memesβ then see theyβre from some account named like βwow you have some serious issues to deal with and also probably several fairly crippling udiagnosed disorders if you relate so hard to all these memesβ and just be like ahhhh beans
MISSED CONNECTION: I was the guy who posed nude for your class. You were the math professor who called campus security

Day 17
My wonky little shelf with its plant lights and oil lamps brings me joy.
So does moving my furniture and rearranging my entire house. Which sounds sarcastic but is true. It's like when you're little and you move your bed to the other wall.
