Greater Anglia will be nationalised and run by the Department for Transport from 2am this Sunday. There will be no changes to any of the core aspects of train operations.
I recently wrote to the Transport Secretary seeking assurances that their excellent record will be maintained after Sunday.

Farming incomes have fallen by almost 20% in just one year.
Farmers in Newbury and West Berkshire are being clobbered by rising costs and the damaging Family Farm Tax.
Itβs time to scrap the tax, increase the farming budget and back British farmers with a new FIELD Fund.

We need a voting system where parties are incentivised to work collaboratively on fixing the long-term issues like the climate emergency, housing, the care system, education etc.
With First-Past-The-Post, the new government in 2029 can undo everything the last one achieved.

Farage attacked for βuglyβ rhetoric of plan for mass deportation of asylum seekers
Reform UK leader says he will rip up UKβs human rights commitments and pay despotic regimes to take people back
#LibDem leader, Ed Davey: βNigel Farage pretending to be patriotic while pledging to rip up Britainβs proud record on human rights. As weβve seen across history, his populist playbook is ugly & incredibly destructive. We know where it'll lead if we donβt stop it.β

A miserable day for the last 61 bus from Winchester to Eastleigh via Colden Common.
Rural buses are a lifeline for individuals who do not drive - they are vital to allow people to live independently and get to hospital appointments or work.

The Lib Dems are far out performing the Labour government in taking on Reform directly and showing up Farage for the Poundland Trump tribute act most voters know him to be. It's smart politics because there is a massive dislike of the far right and everything they stand for across the UK.
