Iran is mass producing drones that could strike me? No they’re going to Russia, I don’t need to buy low cost interceptors

It turns out the single most prevalent theme in conflict is the tendencies of states to see bad shit happening elsewhere only to shrug, but not even a year later have that same thing happening to them and yet they are still completely unprepared
We are so knee deep in the shit and most of you are completely desensitized to it because it’s indistinguishable from entertainment. That’s being American. Even our own self engineered recessionary revanchist wars are a sitcom for the consumer society.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
I would 100% be fine if Zelenskyy killed Orban with a missile
common take on here is that the iranian government has zero domestic support which like… lol… be serious
I don’t understand how a person can quote someone without checking it fifty+ times if you’re not 100% sure who originally said it
Im sure the Council will make sure to take his input very seriously
I wake up. I ask the nearest person what year it is. They answer, “the US just started targeting Shia leaders south of Baghdad?” I never find out what year it is
Airstrikes targeting Shia militia leaders south of Baghdad?
If you're rightfully upset about the civilian casualties caused by Iran's indiscriminate campaign of drone and missile attacks, you should probably also be upset about the 70+ people Israel killed in Lebanon, along with many others elsewhere. Both are bad. Both deserve condemnation.
It's actually a much more complicated issue. The history of that region is complicated and nuanced It's just so much more complicated (Complicated thoughts) "nuanced" Look, I studied abroad for a semester I understand the nuance
man this shit ain’t real i haven’t seen a picture yet
The reported Kurdish offensive is not at all clear to me that it's real
It’s real; what the fuck
So, if true (dubious?), that is a non-Iranian Kurdish group launching the attack. Can somebody remind me what happened the last time Iraqi Kurds tried to ’liberate’ Kurdish Iran?
Also once again we are living through an administration that believes War is Content
Found Platner’s secret account
It is true that he has absolutely no real views whatsoever but that's actually really helpful in this situation, because you should take it as a clear sign and a win if someone with no beliefs feels the wind is blowing in your direction.
Drinking five Dunkin coffees today out of spite
If I HAD to identify a single most important factor, it would be the lack of long term planning and the constant, year after year, “We’ll be out in a year or so”
Honestly the idea that any singular factor was the key flaw seems in error. The WoT was bumbled and fumbled through so many different missteps and abuses of power that laying the blame at one doorstep does a disservice to the topic at large
I’d like to hear considerably less from this toad of a human being
Anyone who approaches IR, or conflict or anything of the theme without a deep sense of reverence for the lives involved, is not to be taken seriously
Truly nobody likes Paul Bremer. Incredible
posters administration going well
Some might declare this as suboptimal
Average Kuwaiti pilot seeing an unidentified radar track show up
Agreed! He’s got a better a2a record than the majority of current usn pilots. We need to be trying to enlist that man pronto
If we put a positivity spin on this, maybe we can get him included in the future truth and reconciliation trials
