Fire Fighters on scene after putting out the blaze

A car fire occurred at Hillside, Southwick, around 12:15 today. Two fire engines responded to extinguish the blaze. Roads were closed temporarily. No injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation. A270 / Mile Oak Rd is reduced to one lane with queues forming

The attraction will stay open while administrators explore restructuring and finding a buyer. The council lent £36.2m in 2014 but has only received £5.8m. Reflection on this is ongoing to avoid future repetition!

A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital after suspected stabbing in Eastbourne town centre.

Emergency services were called to Furness Road at 17:40 GMT on Tuesday. Sussex Police have no suspects. CCTV + witness inquiries are ongoing, police urge anyone with information to come forward.

Brighton sees crime fall after targeted police action.

Since April, Sussex Police helped reduce crime by 14%. Anti-social behavior dropped by 17.9%, knife crime rose 10.3% due to new Brighton hotspots.

Officers seized 23 knives, 37 drug quantities in over 150 searches.
