I’m a bit old-fashioned and don’t like DuoLingo etc bc I like to get into the nitty-gritty of the language. So, this is a great course: youtube.com/playlist?lis....
If you spoke Ukrainian (and I do, unfortunately for you), here they talk about what a devastating effect cutting US assistance would have on Ukr media that is keeping people informed during the war (!!). I am done talking to you — I dont have time for a class on int’l development for dummies.
And you can get this info. Not on the Treasury’s website though (🤦🏻♀️) You can get it from USAID and the individual orgs. Also, for humanitarian NGOs that are sponsored by USAID—part of that money also goes to salaries. Most funding initiatives pay for salaries for grantee orgs — they need to eat too.
What is the allegation exactly? You didn’t know that one of the main pillars of US developmental assistance around the globe is support for independent media and education initiatives? That’s on you. This has been the case since USAID’s founding. And yes, part of that funding goes to salaries.
And re: Ukr media outlet: those funds would be listed in USAID yearly report (or whatever org/dept funded them) followed by a detailed report on how the funds were spent by each grantee that they are *required* to submit at the end of the grant period. You are clueless, stop embarrassing yourself.
You really *are* a total moron.
Detailed information like this is released yearly by each org/dept and each program in fiscal reports. They are required to do this by law. Just because you are too dumb & lazy to find this info, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. You have no idea what you’re talking about & are just proving the point.
And he will crash the US economy to 1990s Russia levels too. As someone who has lived through it, his voters are in for quite the ride, and unfortunately the rest of us. Musk’s talk of us needing to go through “necessary hardship” gave me flashbacks of shock therapy.
