I talked to some people recently who said they got bored or overwhelmed by Bluesky after a while. Turns out they didn't know about alternative feeds yet and we're scrolling the chronological one.

If you like that, great, but here are some alternative feeds I like.

Behavior changed, but attitudes or intentions did not. This suggests a salience effect: social media content likely kept donation top-of-mind.

It shows that low-cost, non-targeted digital exposure can shift real-world health behavior.

The results:

- New Facebook followers were 32% more likely to make their first donation
- They made 12% more whole blood donations over one year
- They made 17% more total donations, including plasma donations

These effects emerged without reminders, incentives, or direct outreach.

During registration, new donors were randomly assigned to either:

🔹 Follow the Dutch blood bank (Sanquin) on Facebook
🔹 Control (no follow)

We tracked behavior over 6 months via Sanquin’s records, and additionally ran 3 surveys

Progressieve studentenpartij wint ruim van conservatieve tegenstander bij VU-verkiezingen Het ging hard tegen hard tijdens de studentenraadsverkiezingen op de VU: de progressieve partij Change VU stond lijnrecht tegenover de conservatieve Vrijmoedige Studentenpartij VSP. Uiteindelijk gaan negen van de elf zetels in de centrale studentenraad naar Change VU, de andere twee zijn voor de VSP. Toch heerst bij beide partijen een overwinningssfeer.Het ging er niet bepaald vreedzaam aan toe op de VU afgelopen week tijdens de studentenraadsverkiezingen.
