it's so funny i keep seeing people confidently saying "yeah they really dialed down the olde english thing" but if you directly compare the scripts they're literally identical. i think the voice acting just makes it feel so much more natural that people don't even realize it's the same dialogue

after months of being unsure whether i wanna play the final fantasy tactics remake because i kept hearing people say that its revised script was way different than war of the lions' and less "faux shakespeare", i actually play the game for myself and find out the script is like. 95% identical

yea disgaea is cute but yknow it's messy. it's a messy genre generally, there are a lot of great SRPGs but few perfect ones. they usually have bigger ideas than capacity but yknow that's kinda the charm. except for yasumi matsuno he's built different so he just does it perfectly every time
