It's hard, but I think it comes down to the function of the language— as in, is every touch, every beat and rythm serving some thematic goal, or is the writing just driving forward plot/set dressing?

Some elipses are okay! But it is very much a generational thing to overuse them where they stop making sense. Especially because an elipse indicates tone to younger generations, and often a negative or judgmental tone at that

"I never know what I think, until I read what I write." I don't recall who said this first. I do know that it's true. Your writing can become an automatic tap into your buried mental stuff and when you read it months later you will quiver in reaction. Self Sight.
