As a lead designer of small TTRPG, I can definitely attest how much work even small details may require to get the balance right. While I think it's absolutely fine that people modify the rules to suit their needs, they should play RAW at least once or twice before doing so to get a feel of rules.

Doom: The Dark Ages is fun game, I can't deny that. I just wish they hadn't but this much emphasis on the shield and parrying. At times I'm wondering if I need guns at all...

However, there is one thing that I will not change my mind about: the lockpicking minigame in Oblivion is absolutely terrible. It feels 95% luck based, even after I watched/read couple of guides how to do it.

Now that the game is actually enjoyable when it comes to framerates (although I find it kinda hilarious to literally watch the game to render everything when you enter a new location), I'm actually enjoying the game. Lots of good things in Oblivion Remastered, despite the bugs.

So, since I'm pretty much between games after finishing Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 and waiting for new Doom game to come out, decided to retry Oblivion. I think there has been a patch or two since the launch? Because the game seems to run better on XBox. Still stutters outside of cities though.

Decided to give Oblivion Remastered another go after getting somewhat disappointed at launch due the state of the game (lots of performance issues and lots of bugs). Yes, I know it's Bethesda game but seriously, some of the famous bugs from original game were still there.

Finally managed to complete Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (would have completed it last night but the final boss gave me some trouble).
Pure masterpiece in every aspect. The story, music, visuals, everything felt perfect. It will be almost impossible for any other game to beat COE33 this year...

The More I play Clair Obscur Expedition 33, the more I'm loving it. It's just one of those rare games that feel like it has everything perfect.

Why are some people so obsessed with trying to drag others down for wanting to play a video game or play on a console they donβt like?
Let people enjoy things.

So far Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been everything and even more than I ever dared to hope for. Everything just feels right with the game.

It feels so strange to boot up Oblivion on XBox while sipping coffee. Like, did I just go back in time?!

Ended up playing Fallout 76 again after a long while. Yes, it has flaws but, and I know this will make LOTS of people angry, I think Fallout 76 is a better game than Fallout 4. Especially if I play on a private server. It does so many things better mechanically.

At first I was a bit conflicted whether I liked the direction Two Point Museum took the franchise but after playing it a bit more, I'm definitely liking it more and more.

Spent four hours playing Avowed and I have really enjoyed it thus far. It's not the greatest game ever but it's just so much fun to play.

To prepare myself for Avowed, decided to restart Pillars of Eternity 2 today. And yes, I know they are completely different in gameplay but the world & setting is the same. Also, it was good excuse to boot up this underrated masterpiece.

Am I the only one who thinks it as misleading when gaming media talk about mods but use the term "free expansion" on headlines? Because to me the term "expansion" is something official, not made by fans.

Finally picked up God of War: RagnarΓΆk and damn it's a good game! I did play the previous game, though I never finished it, but RagnarΓΆk feels so much better in many ways.

I literally experienced something like this recently with Elden Ring. Never a fan of Souls-like games, even though I have tried few. But decided to give it one more go and something just clicked and I have already spent about 70 hours this month alone...

I definitely agree. Hub areas would allow better development of NPCs as well as you can really get to know them and interact them. Now you either plow through the areas and forget the NPCs (since they don't matter) or the NPCs are magically transported to the new area.

Never been a huge fan of Souls-like games (and difficult games in general) as I usually don't have the time and mental fortitude to spend hours trying to beat a single boss. However, decided to give Elden Ring another go with new mindset and I'm enjoying it far more than I ever though I would.
