They better π
@simplyrailways
I create train trip reports on YouTube every week! Here to show the great side of train travel and advocate as much as possible for more trainsβ¦ for the greater good πππ± https://linktr.ee/simply_railway
They better π
Hurry up folks!
The Superliner wonβt be here for long π
#Amtrak
The YouTube train trip report game lately:
« TERRIBLE » « AWFUL » « RIP » « BRUTAL » in any single thumbnail or title.
Guys, what are we doing? Arenβt we supposed to promote train travel? Or scare people away?
#Allfortheclickbait
How it will kill economics ?
I love Superliner but having a standardized fleet across the network isnβt a bad decision imo. Sure I will miss these big coaches
After some wonderful time in the Tatras, itβs time to head back home to Berlin the same way I came yesterday, via the Euronight « MetropolΒ Β» coming from Budapest! ππΊ
Nighty night π΄
@diningcar.at time π
Good morning from Slovakia πΈπ°
My Euronight train was delayed by 10 minutes, leaving me with barely enough time to catch my connecting train at 06:15.
Fortunately, my connecting train was also delayed by 10 minutes, giving me ample time to catch my train to Poprad - Tatry π
Little weekend getaway from Berlin! π
Tonight I am off to Bratislava πΈπ° onboard the Euronight « MetropolΒ Β» in a couchette compartment!
GEEZ its been almost three months since Iβve been on a night train, itβs been an eternity π
New video now live on YouTube!
This week we are traveling on yet another sleeper train from Istanbul πΉπ· to Sofia π§π¬ in a private sleeping car compartment!
Thatβs a video I did in partnership with the BBC Travel Show π

Tomorrow on the channel π
From Istanbul πΉπ· to Sofia π§π¬ by night train in a private sleeping car compartment! I was recording this trip alongside the BBC for a travel show about the Orient Expressβ¦
I canβt wait to tell you more about it tomorrow on YouTube π
I am tired of these endless nostalgic debate about night trains.
As @jonworth.eu mentioned it perfectly itβs endless bla bla bla about how night trains were great with no real plan to bring them back.
New video now live on YouTube! π₯³
This week we are taking a look at @europeansleeper.eu newest class, the « Comfort StandardΒ Β» which is basically a couchette car cosplayed in a sleeper! π π
Come with me as I try this new accommodation between Amsterdam π³π± and Berlin π©πͺ

Videos are back on YouTube folks! For this special event weβre looking at #TrenMaya newest train: Pβatal specially made for long distances featuring two dining car (yes two) and a sleeper car (yes just one) π π π²π½ ποΈ
An oddity that was worth trying!

France: « Why run trains on a Sunday? No one is travelingΒ Β» π€‘
Meanwhile in Germany π
Iβd say so :)
Iβd say so :)
China have some already :)
Highly disagree, you canβt scale up your operations, then thereβs huge hurdle for certification, cross border operations etc etc etcβ¦
The train is also equipped with two (yes, 2) dining cars. I am not sure why they want to have such a HUGE capacity for dining but not for sleeping.
I guess we will see in operations. Thereβs no debut date for these trains, but I am quite excited to spend a night onboard one of them!
Thread off βοΈ
I wanted to see the sleeping accommodation on this new night train, the first in decades in this area, also made by Alstom (who havenβt produced any night trains in years)
Each train has one coach with 8 compartments, totaling 16 beds. Itβs low capacity but looks nice, and each compartment has πΏ !
These trains are made to run on longer journeys, probably overnight. A new class of comfort has been introduced, featuring reclining seats.
These are basically ICE4 First Class seats with a legrest extension. Quite pleasing, to be fair!
The Paβtal are base on the same platform as the other classic trains of Tren Maya (produced by Alstom on the Xtrapolis platform)
These are bi mode (diesel and electric) with a top speed of 200km/h
Tren Maya has ordered only three of them.
Yesterday, Tren Maya introduced its newest train, the Paβtal, on a special run between Cancun and MΓ©rida! π π²π½
These new units are made to run on long distances across the YucatΓ‘n Peninsula.
Letβs take a closer look at them π
Kuddos to Mexico for being the only country in this part of the world that believes and invests massively in trains. Itβs not perfect yet (they still have a couple of weird procedures such as the boarding), but itβs getting there π€
Since months, I have heard rumors and bad press (mostly from boomers and the right wing) about #TrenMaya π²π½ « such a failureΒ Β» « no one is riding itΒ Β»
I wanted to travel from Cancun to Campeche yesterday, and both trains were sold out.
but yeah, itβs a true failure π€‘
Please Europe, wake the fuck up
