For the first post of the year here's an ichthyosaur found on the Jurassic coast, Uk by Ben Daly now completed and returned to them.

Prep done using ZOIC PalaeoTech The Maia and The Balaur.

Probably 180 mya at the youngest at Lyme Regis.

3rd is minor, they pluralised vetebra.

This lovely #Coccosteus was a placoderm, or armoured fish, which lived in the seas of the Devonian (~400 million years ago). This one was found in the Caithness Flagstones at Achanarras - Scotland. #fossilfriday 106 hours of prep time.

For #fossilfriday here's the most recent ammonite I've prepped - a Sigaloceras from Cerney Wick, found this summer next to a mammoth bone or two.
