Screenshot of Old Fire Station post announcing ‘New Blog Post by Daisy J. Hung’
Bethan, Charis, Kate, Andy and Daisy standing next to each other in the gallery following a community philosophy workshop
The dark blue gallery wall with the quote ‘I’ve got through it. I’ve made it to the other side.’ on the top, with several paintings and drawings in white frames displayed below.
A quote against a white wall, saying ‘Through the blue prison door. See our world through our eyes.’ Underneath is a crocheted daisy chain with handcuffs and keys, positioned like a wreath; next to it is a partial painting of prison doors.
I’ve been volunteering at The Old Fire Station in Oxford to help out with their Koestler Arts ‘Through the Blue’ exhibition that’s on until 14th March, and wrote this blog post. Check out the beautiful artwork made by people in custody and on probation.

Lady Araminta Gun character flanked by her daughters Posy and Rosamund Li next to extravagant pink floral displays, looking at their surroundings at a ball and commenting in Cantonese that ‘It is rather garish.’
Screenshot of Audible, showing Daisy J. Hung’s ’I am Not a Tourist’ audiobook narrated by Katie Leung
Binge-watched Bridgerton for some indulgent escapism. The fab ESEA on-screen rep was long overdue and felt so meaningful - loved the Cantonese! Katie Leung did her thing as a villain with depth. She narrated my #IamNotATourist audiobook, so if you want more, there’s 9+ hrs of her gorgeous voice!

2025 was a monumental year with the publication of my #IamNotaTourist book & the East Asian artist showcase at Old Fire Station that I organised. Met so many amazing people this year! Got this 2026 peace diary from my fave radical bookshop to use as a gratitude journal. Hope 2026 brings you peace.
