There were lots of insects there - if you like isopods and springtails ($100 for six rubber ducky isopods, omg). And plenty of spiders but not the species I went in to buy. I was a little surprised there were no mantids…

Pretty tired. Every time I move is just one long screech of pain, so I’m learning to stay very, very still.
I survived surgery. The pain is rather more than I was expecting (I was expecting a lot of pain. This is more than that). I would sell my soul for an overhead grab bar in my bedroom.

God, I miss our cats. I love Sasquatch but he’s always been his own cat, not very snuggly and only on his own terms. The girls interacted with people a LOT more.
