I'm on the OR coast and received warnings that escalated to evacuation. We didn't hang around long enough to examine fault type info online, but it was a good test run of our emergency service notifications, and a reminder to stay up to date on evacuation plans.
Emergency Alert The National Weather Service has issued a TSUNAMI WARNING. A series of powerful waves and strong currents may impact coasts near you. You are in danger. Get away from coastal waters. Move to high ground or inland now. Keep away from the coast until local officials say it is safe to return.
Escalated to full evacuation - since canceled. Epicenter -150 mi away from us on the OR coast..Magnitude 7.0, depth 0.6 km. Cape Mendocino CA. Intense morning.
