ICYMI: Codex added a voice transcription option.
A screenshot showing Codex running in a terminal window. The user input says “Remember tomorrow at noon, Rangers Celtic, full commentary”
Playing with Codex’s voice transcription feature, but 5 Live was on in the background.
Fixed it for you
I love 1Password, but increasingly wondering what the advantages are over the Passwords app on macOS/iOS.

A chart showing my PR activity in a Github repo, showing changes I wrote myself vs. changes Claude Code co-authored.
The Opus effect. My adoption of #claude at work has skyrocketed in the last few weeks.
@simonwillison.net I had Claude write me a quick project from scratch. It knows I’m “Simon W”, so it guessed my name and email. (No need to click the link, you can guess.) 😂 github.com/simonwhitaker/…
Going out on a limb to say 'ideally yes'
Nice way to share a #moltbot conversation: teach it a gist skill.
“Let’s learn a new skill. If I ask you to gist a conversation, grab the transcript, format it in markdown and use the gh tool to create a private gist. Then send me the gist.io link for it.”

This reminded me randomly of how much I loved Glorious Exploits. One of my favourites of the books I read in 2025.
I hear people raving about Gemini on Android. Whatever regular people want as an AI assistant on their phones, Gemini seems to be delivering exactly that. So why NOT make that the underpinning of Siri?
@gruber.foo Enjoying your thoughts on Apple and Gemini. I wonder if another reason Apple have gone with Gemini is that it brings them to exact parity with leading Android phones. No endless arguments about whether e.g. iPhone (Anthropic) is better or worse than Android (Gemini).

Pope Francis dying a day after meeting JD Vance reminds me of when the Queen met Liz Truss and went "nah, fuck this" and off she popped. Everyone has their breaking point.
I love the typo in the first paragraph. ("Prompted" instead of "promoted".) Sign of a strong mind.
An underappreciated aspect of British cryptic crosswords is just how smutty they can be. Here’s a gem from today’s Guardian prize.
Pretty sure this is the default system prompt on most LLMs.
