For three years, we have been without Peter.
So instead, we take him with us. When we travel. When we smile. When we sleep. We keep him in our hearts, while he is further away.

Is the way to a woman’s heart also food? I continue to test the theory- now with these “Marry-Me Meatballs.” A litte spicy and they keep well in the fridge.

I hope you will read some more about that summer here and keep Lyn, Jay, and Jerrauld in your prayers.
Knowing this titan of a man was an honor, but I would have preferred to meet him 57 years ago. That year he was one of four children to integrate the South's most prestigious private school. He was a 13-year-old boy with more courage than I have had my whole life.
The jurist, cabinet member, & Delegate Jerrauld Jones passed away today. He represented the people of Norfolk with distinction and was entrusted by this Commonwealth to care for its most needy children. He was a giant of the legal community, as well as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Thank you so much to VFW Post 4639 Williamsburg for providing a wonderful place to retire your flag! If you need to do the same, stop on by 106 Jesters Ln.
It was a true honor to return to the Christopher Newport Honors Program as commencement speaker for their 26th Annual Graduation ceremony. There's no better place than to be with the Captains!
This spiced chickpea stew with coconut and turmeric came out a banger
Happy birthday Rebecca Mullin! You are loving, strong, and truly the best that I know! Love you!
Our public health system is being cut by Washington and it is already diminishing our ability to respond to the next infectious disease crisis. Great commentary in the RTD today, and I have to say I do like that first author. 😄
Immensely proud of Ayanna Williams and all that she will do on Williamsburg City Council. She is a William and Mary student & the first African-American woman to serve on Council.
Congrats as well to Pat Dent & Barbara Ramsey on their reelection! Williamsburg's future is bright!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Mullin Family!
Oh my gosh it's going to be a hippo-tastic Christmas! The Metro Richmond Zoo has a brand new baby Pygmy hippo! Just like Moo Deng! The Richmond zoo is the only place in Virginia to see 🦛.
She's a girl and she doesn't have a name yet. I suggest Potato.
The poet Nikki Giovanni died yesterday. She made us better with her words.
Here's a poem called "Ann's Poem" from an old collection of hers I love called "Quilting the Black Eyed Pea."
It was an honor being back today with @wjccindivisible.bsky.social talking about the threats a second Trump Administration pose to the First Amendment.
