My daughter was telling me about a book she’s reading. She said she realized she needed to: “pick up the paste” The what?
“The paste. Because you get stuck and it slows you down.”
Her father thought the expression was “play it by year” instead of “ear” so this is just genetics I think.

But every night I dream that someone tells me, “Hey…so…your mom’s still alive…how do you want to handle this?” I have not- quite -dead -yet ptsd/trauma (is that a thing?)

I keep having recurring nightmares that my mom didn’t actually die and we have to tell everyone that came to her funeral that she’s not dead. I think it’s because she was on hospice for so long and we kept having false hope she would finally pass and be at peace.
