I respect my manager, but every so often if I’ve had some sick days he’ll tell me that toughing out a bad health day is sometimes better than calling in. Like it strikes me as so unenforceable I just don’t argue because I’ll do what I think is best for me when I need to 🤷♀️

Before all this happened I was so flooded with panic because I had to call out of work sick again. I have some money to get by, but it sucks when you finally get a bit extra just to go back to square 1. But right now all I can think about is how happy I am that I live among such kind people
Through almost the whole day my sweet girlfriend drove me places I needed to go and treated me with care, asking what I needed and making me laugh more than I thought I could.
Later on in the day, I received a package from my good friend and former roommate, which also included a really sweet note + a sweater to replace something I lost a long time ago
Went to the doctor and everyone in each step of the process today was so kind it genuinely healed something in my heart.
