We just released the 2025 Impact Report for Game Devs of Color. It's 39 pages of what we accomplished in 2025, since founding, and priorities for 2026 and beyond. Grateful to work with such a brilliant team.
The 2026 GDoCExpo is Sep 22 - 25, with speaker & game applications opening late Feb!
I'd like to add that like in all industries, when we stop understanding how our tools work, we become entirely dependent on the corporate entities that own the mold. We are trading the ability to build and repair for the convenience of being permanent tenants in someone else's infrastructure/subs.

So here's to one hell of a ride on Anthem. A bit of pre-launch dev, a bit of live service, and a bit of Next. Some of my fondest memories amidst some very complicated times in both games and how communities engaged. I would do it all over again.

A Black man named Keith Porter was shot and killed by an ICE officer on New Year’s Eve.
Marimar Martinez was shot five times by an ICE officer in Chicago who went on to brag about leaving seven holes in her body.
This is not new but it is expanding.
The murder is horrific and traumatizing enough but for us black and brown folks the breathless "this doesn't happen here" / "this is beyond the pale" *compounds* the grief
