Wonder why scientists are trying to bring back dinosaurs? They are practicing using CRISPR tech. This is the outcome, gene editing saved the first life. This is the result of decades of federal research funding.

I just met with 5 government agencies to coordinate more streamlined data sharing and everyone agreed to my solutions ๐ณ Iโve never been in such a successful government meeting. Building relationships is paramount to collaboration.

Whatโs the most exciting or unexpected way youโve seen geospatial technology make a difference? #GISChat
I'm glad you're here.
I'm currently using AI to help me study for the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam.
AI isnโt just a tool; itโs a collaborator. Itโs not about what AI can replaceโitโs about what it can empower. Amplifying creativity, refining workflows, and building smarter solutions is just the start. How are you teaming up with AI? Share your thoughts and letโs learn together!
To stay innovative, we need to look beyond our own field. Whether itโs borrowing storytelling from journalism, UX from tech, or predictive analytics from data science, cross-pollination of ideas fuels better geospatial solutions. What fields inspire your GIS work? Letโs talk.
Maps in the Wild
Here's the thing: When you look at challenges geographically, you naturally see how everything connects. Spatial thinking at the top breaks down silos because space is the one thing every department shares.
Organizations struggle with silos because they organize by function. Finance does finance. Facilities does facilities. Each in their own corner. But real-world problems don't care about our org charts.
Weekend reflection: The most powerful leadership lesson I've learned as a GIO isn't about technology - it's about perspective.
