Sorry to hear about this. Our 12 year old Skoda Fabia has proved good so far, and I am tall. Worth looking at maybe

Just tried for a simple structural engineering problem. "I'm not a specialist. Can't do that" Honest, I suppose!
Fair enough they do seem to be registered. And I see they are registered as a company. May be legit but appearing from no where, making fairly wild claims post election and then silence is a bit concerning still to me.
Things that need inventing:
Dustpans which don't let stuff go underneath
Vacuum packed coffee which opens
New towels which behave like old towels.
Are we sure. They claim that on their webpage; is it confirmed by the Rowntree Foundation. I can't see any company number or charity number, which makes me sceptical
If you are right, surely you wouldn't know if they were missing a trick?
Thanks. Interesting thread. How was ยฃ6,590 (average) arrived at? It seems a vast amount for having a phone removed, even if illegally.
Bernard's nice too!
This is splendid content!
You think they keep the really good stuff secret?
I guess don't agree. I think it is something of a privilege and should require commitment. Very happy that immigrants have a path to nationality and voting, but not just by living here. Equally emmigrants clearly have less commitment to the UK than residents and shouldn't vote after a period.
Are you saying every should be able to vote everywhere? Practically there have to be some rules.
Well you said you were interested in the UK (fine but not a reason to vote) and had family (also fine but they can vote themselves so that's covered). However, I have softer views on keeping a vote than gaining it, so not too bothered.
If you don't live here, why should you vote here? You'd be influencing decisions that largely don't affect you.
OK. Seems misguided to me.
After a period to allow for transient decisions etc, yes (which I think they do)
I'm not quite sure what you're asking there. My general view is that voting should require substantial links to a society and simply working somewhere, even for a long period, isn't sufficient. In general nationality plus residency seems appropriate to me .
Not always, no, but generally it will through myriad experiences and links. Much more than mere employment does. Coupled with residency, I'd say it's pretty strong evidence.
Hmm. For me nationality does feel like a sensible requirement. It signals a commitment to a country beyond just a convenient place to live. I'd rather reduce the fee than relax voting rules.
Really? Subtexts aside, I think requiring a substantial commitment to a country to be able to vote there is entirely reasonable. Not just transient employment.
Personal experience suggests otherwise!!
She did retire from hunting at about age 16.
Cat on sofa watches a mouse cross the living floor. Sighs and goes back to sleep.
Cat in kitchen watches mouse steal a chunk of it's cat food. AND DOES NOTHING!!
This comment has spoilt my pebble viewing experience
A fine pebble.
I think it's called boinging. Pretty sure.
Well ceiling, I suppose .
The roof and door
The shower was challenging though. It had a trap. As well as vertical water it had jets. I accidentally turned them on from outside then shut the door quickly to avoid a flood. This was a problem because I couldn't turn them off without opening the doors again, which meant water everywhere
There were sort of cylindrical clouds over the sea here the other day so I decided that's what it was.
Have you had a waterspout yet?
