Venn diagram of the conceptual innovations and theoretical overlaps between the ideas of the “three musketeers” of macroevolution
It was great to collaborate with you Joao on making some justice to the memory of the Elisabeth "The Great" Vrba and contextualizing her contributions as one of the "three musketeers" of the macroevolution!

Good job Andrej, thank you very much for this work. I was deeply saddened that Vrba memory wasn't celebrated as it should have been by major journals and our community. Thank you again.

We're looking for a new #postdoc colleague to join our team at CULS, Prague (Czechia). Ideally, someone with expertise in macroecological and macroevolutionary analysis to help fill our knowledge gaps in this area :)

In Biogeography, Frontiers [insert name] was still seen as a good place to publish in recent times. So I would not discard everything published by these journals. Is it possible to program bots in Bluesky ? Or to pin some notes ? We could pin a note about predatory journals associated with a list..

publishing in these journals because they had been asked to be editors/co-editors for special issue and they feel honored to do so.

That's fair, and nobody here think you are a dictator haha, neither I'm against taking decision to silence toxic publishers. It's just that it is known for example that MDPI or Frontiers are used a lot by researcher from the global south, or (anecdotal) sometimes inexperienced researchers end-up

The fact that these editors are (for good reasons) considered predatory does not mean that the research conducted by our colleagues and published in these journals are bad. We could block official accounts, but we should not block a post made by a colleague bc it links to a Frontier/MDPI publication
