WTF is wrong with subscription businesses where you have to reach out to the support team via email to cancel your subscription??? Plus, they don't send a reminder email before your trial ends... very bad experience.

No one is as cute as my husband when I have a call with a potential client.
"Why do they interrogate you about your experience??? You're a pro. What would they ask you so many questions about SEO and content???"
Um, babe, I appreciate your support, but... It's called an interview?

Do you guys know what's currently happening in Serbia?
Empowered women empower women. β€οΈ Happy International Women's Day! π
These younger generations are doing things differently and they'll always have my unwavering support.
After all, it's our duty to help them in any way possible to do better than we did.
When properly nurtured, this mindset develops into robust critical thinking skills, which is exactly what the world needs right now.
My generation was taught to respect people "because they're older/have a title/are a doctor/are the president" but that didn't do much for us.
They won't accept "because I said so" explanations and will question your reasoning if it doesn't make sense.
This instinct to question and the insistence on "earned" rather than "assumed" authority reflects a healthy skepticism.
These generations will require you to demonstrate your authority through your demeanor and integrity rather than granting you respect simply because you have credentials or a title.
At the same time, they'll demand to be heard and respected, too.
Before I started working in marketing, I had spent around 9 years teaching. I taught kids and young people who may be university students today β at least they're this age now.
And my classroom experience has deepened my faith in them.
I just read a comment on Twitter that got me thinking about the younger generations today. It's in Serbian, but I'll try to translate its essence for everyone to understand, and add my perspective.
Some of you may not know, but I'm a teacher by formal education.
I'm quite proud of this piece π₯°

So it's gonna be a retainer
Or it's gonna be project-based
You can tell me when it's over
If the result was worth the rate

They'll tell you I'm insane
But I've got a blank brief, baby
And I'll write your name
I found a solution that works for me. I let myself get my revenge me-time and stay up longer than I should twice a week. But on other nights, I say: f*ck TikTok, retinol, and group chat with my besties (they listen and they don't judge!), I need my sleep. π΄
It's all a matter of balance. βοΈ
Of course, revenge bedtime procrastination isn't doable in the long run. You can survive a few days on 3-4 hrs of sleep per night. Then you start crashing in the middle of a meeting or find yourself reading the same sentence 9 times before you understand it. The quality of your work suffers. π€
I'm constantly overwhelmed βΒ I'm the sole provider for my family, have a child, a sick husband, struggle with my own illness. I don't have a lot of me-time during the day. But when the night comes and everyone's asleep, it's time for me to catch up on social media or just sit and stare at the wall.
For a long time, I wasn't aware that this was actually a thing. That it had an actual name in psychology.
But it's always been very real for me.
βRevenge bedtime procrastination describes the decision to sacrifice sleep for leisure time that is driven by a daily schedule lacking in free time.β π¬
I need a week without social media, talking to people, and having to run errands. Then, maybe, just maybe, I'd finally recover from this flu.
