Thank you to my incredible board, club members, and to everyone who believes in a fairer, more just world. We’re not done. We’re just getting started.
When we fight, we win — and we will keep fighting. ✊

But we also know that progress doesn’t happen overnight. It happens because of people like you who show up, again and again, even when it’s hard. *Especially* when it’s hard.
So thank you to my fellow San Diego Democrats and to all of our allies and partners. 💙
The national election didn’t go the way we hoped. We still feel that heartbreak and that disappointment, especially when we wake up and read the news every morning.
But 2024 wasn’t just about wins or losses — it was about building community, developing leaders, and proving that young people aren’t just the future of this party — we are the present.
Several of our members represented us at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. And yes, we absolutely had fun while doing it. 💃🏻
We hosted a record-breaking Welcome Reception 🥂 for the CA Young Democrats Convention and CA Democratic Party E-Board meeting in San Diego in May that raised nearly $30,000 and brought energy and attention to our region.
In 2024, we knocked on doors 🚪 across the County, up to Pasadena, Victorville, Palm Springs, and twice in Arizona 🌵. We (re)elected leaders like Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer and Assemblymember Dr. Darshana Patel. We showed up — not just in our neighborhoods, but across the state and beyond.
It's been an honor to lead this club as President, but this recognition belongs to every single one of our members — the students, young professionals, organizers, and advocates who’ve poured their hearts into this work.
Last week, I had the honor of accepting the @sandiegodems.bsky.social ✨2024 Affinity Club of the Year Award✨ on behalf of the San Diego County Young Democrats at the annual Roosevelt Dinner. 🩵
