I think about this a lot.
I dunno man, I think precipitously canceling people's funding caused a lot of damage to other people's careers and lives and reputations and maybe they should live with the blowback. They come from a media ecosystem that makes public lists of insufficiently bigoted professors.
Mind-bogglingly.

Respectfully, eat shit. Those kids were expelled, arrested, and targeted relentlessly by their school administrations with the specific goal of preventing further protest. Eighteen year old kids were held down and maced by campus security, hit point blank with tear gas canisters by riot cops.

Parkin's hooman here. I'm sorry to say that Parkin died yesterday evening. After being off his food for a few days I took him to the vet, where a barrage of tests revealed he had advanced cancer. The kindest thing to do was let him go.

Arguably one of the most misleading terms used by governments when talking about immigration/asylum is the word "voluntary". Voluntary removals rarely are. They are just a choice between leaving under your own steam or being dragged into detention and thrown on a deportation flight.
In her first essay on trans rights, in 2020, JK Rowling told the world that a major inspiration on her thoughts on trans people was Magdalen Berns, a woman who referred to trans people as "pathetic, sick fucks." She's not "urging caution," she's a bigoted, rich activist who despises trans people.
