HS library. No uptick in requests but did have a student make a comment about a ’in the news’ book display last month of Carter’s passing and Jan. 6 riots. “That’s propaganda!” Actually, no it’s not. It’s history. Never had this happen before.
Librarians aren't going to save us. Librarians aren't superheroes.
They're just people trying to keep largely underfunded and overwhelmed public services going.
Praise is nice; realistic expectations are better; material support is best.
