There are sliders for the frequency ω and the decay rate of the impluse responses. [3/3]

At higher frequencies, we multiply g(t) by sine and cosine waves, and take the integral of their magnitudes. This gives mapping from inputs (shocks) to outputs by frequency. For a stable system, the impulse g(t) decays, so there is less area under these curves and |G(jω)| decays with ω. [2/3]

The topic on everyone’s mind today: frequency domain methods. I use them in "Uncertain Network Dynamics". Since they’re less common in economics now, here’s a visualization. The transfer function G(jω) is the Laplace transform of the impulse response g(t). At ω=0, G(0) is the area under g(t). [1/3]
