More great work from the Busche Lab that I’m glad to have played a part in. Now out in @cp-neuron.bsky.social, we show that the earliest neuronal dysfunction in Alzheimer’s models is seen in parvalbumin interneurons in deep cortical layers.

Delighted to have played a part in this work, now out in @cellpress.bsky.social, where we show how soluble high molecular weight tau from Alzheimer’s brain suppresses burst firing in hippocampal neurons.

New research led by @marcaurelbusche.bsky.social has found that tau specifically disrupts a certain type of electrical activity in the hippocampus in Alzheimer's🧠
