Fighting over a comb, but surely this *is* (hire a ~DoF and back him) trying and failing (it's Johan Lange)?
how do you handle that without equivalent control of the output though?
You referenced the fifth place finish, which was the previous season.
I'm arguing at the margins here though - you're right that Frank had us playing much worse than our baseline.
I just think more people need firing.
I don't agree that was a worse squad before injuries. Even the declining Son produced much more than any of these forwards are capable of. And without either Maddison or Kulu this one contains ~zero midfield passing. We've bought poorly, and worse when viewed holistically. (🤞Lange also goes)
We do, though, have a very bad squad. Not players, per se, squad. Technical ability is distributed poorly. Lots of players who do similar things in certain positions. Players who have very specific skillsets that aren't being used or that are challenging to fit together.
This was not a pro Corbyn message. That is what they did, though, so it's a bit rich to complain about a critical media now.
They were also perfectly happy to use our media to knife the previous leadership. They really ought to have understood how this would work..
I truly believe there is nothing more important that civic-minded multi-millionaires could do right now than start up local newspapers and run them at a small but steady loss
and the benefits are amazing -- everyone has to talk to you and you get to act like you're a good and important person
We don't!

And how's the food?
He already looks a lot bigger to me, so I think this is in progress
Songs that are both comedic and meaningful are a sweet spot for me (love e.g. that part of Warren Zevon's oeuvre), and it seemed like AS could churn them out at will.
All the damn time
The 4-0 over City was still (indeed, was the last gasp of) proper Angeball
That's the right bet for a club in our position.
Oh it sucks balls, but release clauses aren't exactly release clauses in the UK, as we've also learned this summer
Well, Palace didn't want to. Arsenal were able to close so quickly because we'd done all the price discovery, for both club and player. That's what's galling.
Fun thing about being a Spurs fan: I have no idea what this refers to.
This squad is not close to top four right now; it's hard to see how it could be another step above that next season
He definitely isn't - we aren't going to be challenging in the next two years that he's still prime age. But he is very good, so fuck it it's not my money. (But please, please, please also land Savinho)
Fuck yeah
Getting deals right when they happen built the brand that people pay him for; these things aren't really opposed
Fab? No, when he tweets it's generally accurate. Plus Ornstein has it now and he always is.
He's 21 and already great. Spurs need stars and when you get this opportunity you take it and figure it out later.
I can't see why either side would close on it, but it's Fab so it's not made up
You're right, you did
I'm with you, but someone at the club doesn't seem to believe in midfield passing.
