As the storms begin to grow in scale and cluster, that may reduce the tornado threat some, but there will still be a chance for an isolated tornado or spin-up as the storms move across the state.
A Tornado Watch is in place until 10pm for much of central and southwestern Iowa. Storms will fire/move into far southwestern Iowa and quickly grow in coverage as they move northeastward throughout the state. Initial threats will be hail, wind and possibly tornadoes.
