Uncontrolled immigration hits core elements of a socialist political economy. It can lead to wage depression and the erosion of the collective strength of workers against employers.
The incoherence of this argument: it’s not just empirically wrong about depressing worker wages, but if it were in actuality a left-wing policy programme, why are all the right-wing parties running on it and the left-wing party opposing it? Wouldn’t the right-wing parties support suppressing wages?
