Etwas polemisch. Ganz so simpel ist ja nicht. Wenn zB jemand 20 oder 30h arbeitet, muss der Lohn immer noch zu einem ganzen Leben reichen? Und was für ein Leben? Mit Starbucks und Kino oder ist auch ohne zumutbar?

Idea for drug pricing reform. Set a general healthcare budget (say, 15% of GDP). For every new drug, attribute value points (VP) to reflect the added value. Every year, divide total budget by sum of all
VPs, thereby determining what share of the money each product gets. Result: no cost overruns.

I found therapy-related conversations with AI bots helpful, too. It’s like an augmented diary. Allows you to examine thoughts with an outside voice. Great potential especially in areas where human therapists are unavailable or too expensive, which is the case for most of humanity currently.

Life is really weird. As you get older you learn that nothing truly matters, everything is a game you can choose to play or not... but to not go insane in the void, you need to pick something / anything to care about - be it a person, a skill, a pet, a plant... whatever you like!

Even if that’s not great either, I’d say many people on X are unaware that Musk runs it, don’t care about politics, and just use it for non-political stuff. Many (most?) people are not politically engaged even if that is hard to understand for the rest.

History moves in waves, often. Current strength is a seed for future weakness, because confidence leads to less willingness to make difficult decisions. Similarly, current weakness (Germany) can be the seed for future strength, as it makes the need for reform more obvious and increases motivation.

And similarly, his attempts to make the US strong by abusing his current power (through tariffs etc) might be what sows the seeds for future weakness, as the rest of the world might well invest less in the US and focus less on deepening ties in the future, due to unpredictable US politics.

Maybe Trump / Elon will in the end have done the EU a service by attacking it continuously (Greenland, UK, Germany) and thus highlighting the need for more EU integration / unity. Funny how often our efforts are counterproductive.

Im Allgemeinen Untergangsgesang den man in #Deutschland derweil hört, muss ich doch sagen dass man dies auch als spannend betrachten kann. Viele Reformen & Veränderungen werden jetzt erst möglich, weil alte Gewissheiten sich auflösen. Die Krise als Treiber von Veränderung. Hoffen darf man. :)
