Totally. I absolutely went a little too deep cut with my list and put Nina Simone's cover of Just Like a Woman at number one and I would be shocked if that plays.

It is really what is making this countdown so chaotic! Surely many people thought Roberta Flack was the first to do Killing Me Softly with His Song, otherwise that probably would have been top 50 if not top 20.

There are four other great covers on that album alone though (Good Times, Respect, Soul Serenade, A Change is Gonna Come.) I regret not putting A Change is Gonna Come on my list.

She was the first to record that! Carole King wrote it specifically for Aretha, so it wouldn't count as a cover. I thought You Send Me would have made the countdown, but odds aren't looking good...
