Completion #115 - Resident Evil Requiem
What an absolute victory lap for Capcom. It takes some fantastic bits from so many RE games and throws them into one big pot.
There are other RE games I prefer, but it’s such a high bar that it doesn’t diminish the quality of this one at all, brilliant.

I dislike pretty much everything about it apart from the music which is stunning 😅 I thought with it being a retelling of FF1 I’d like it but scaling up a pixel games story into a 40 hour game ends up being really shallow and empty imo.
Got close to the end of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin’s main story but I’ve had to drop it for now as I just aren’t enjoying it and I’m not spending my time after work on a game I dislike.
Fancying a huge collectathon so I’ve pivoted to AC Valhalla 🙂↕️

Fucking horrifying tbh, in the best way.
No direction, no UI, no idea what’s going on, just wake up in a room and off to see what horrors await 💀 Did well not overstaying its welcome, and can definitely see the Alien Isolation bits in there.
Completion #113 - Cronos: The New Dawn
This game has single handedly got me out of my horror funk, what a game.
Combats heavy and meaningful, the games jumpy as hell, atmospheric, stunningly disgusting to look at and the story keeps you locked in. My only issue is give me more concrete lore! 😅
Love the “one bottle allowed per day” just in case you think you can trick it by downing the lot by lunchtime 🍾
This is stunning, although I feel you’ll struggle to find a Booths that isn’t in a lovely location 😄

It is indeed, came out January 22nd for Xbox and Rebirth is out for Xbox the same day as the Switch 2 release date 👏🏻

Holy fucking shit this games good. You can really see the detail they’ve gone into, they really love this game. Also the combat system is stunning and I hope they don’t move away from it 🔥

I’m actually really glad I played Crisis Core > OG 7 > 7 Remake, cos I felt I had backstory going into 7 and then *his* first appearance in Remake hit harder cos I’d seen the original scene and how it played out.
Love how everyone has a different order for what they feel is best though, so good 🙂↕️
