Multiple greyscale sketches of a wyvern with several arctic animal characteristics. The client for this one wanted something that combined the features of a bear, owl, fish, and various other wildlife. The next image features what we ended up settling on.

Greyscale layout for the final wyvern design with notes regarding texture and placement of features. We agreed early on to feature the head fins rather prominently, as well as the feathered, owl-like wings. I insisted on the little bear ears because I thought they were cute. Actual image description: A wyvern with broad, feathered wings equipped with dexterous hands and hooked claws. Its head is crowned with sharp fins that frame its beaked face that additionally sports a long, slender horn and gills that run along its cheeks. It’s tail is long, and think, lined with scales and tipped with a whale’s fluke. I, personally, think this thing RULES

Idk. I have a core sense of self and then I have what my physical form is and they don't align and I hate it. But they never will because I can be neither a shapeshifter nor incorporeal. So I guess I just have to live with the stress.

Which is why I'd rather just not be referred to by anyone ever. I don't want a "legal name" I want a fucking ID number and a name that can be changed whenever I want depending on who I'm talking to. Not everyone is going to see me the way I see me, so not everyone should even get to see "me".

And my name is like that too. If I hear someone say "mako" in the context of FF7, then yeah, euphoria, because that's my association with it. But you say it with the shark in mind, or even just my physical form, then I don't get that because you're not seeing "me".

Like everything is intent to me, but obviously I'm never going to know other people's. So just. Put a thing that's always going to be associated with me regardless and you'll never fuck it up, even if you misgender me in your head. Everybody wins.

I use she/her but I don't trust other people to.

He/him often implies a masculinity that I'm not.

And they/them gets used when people don't want to actually consider me a man.

Gender? Couldn't tell you. Changes constantly. Can't pin it down. Sometimes I feel a way but hate the word associated. Sometimes I don't know if the person is using it with ill intent or not.

But my vibe? Easy.
