Apropos of nothing, one of my favourite Cassette Beasts monsters I designed is Pombomb, illustrated here for our key art by @smaiart.bsky.social! It ended up as something of a mascot for the game.

My first thought after seeing the new fire starter was just "they just copy from indie games now".... Even the name is super similar. 🙄

It's funny how even the smallest similarities in creature designs are referred as "pokemon rip-offs" but never the other way around.
