Did a bit of autumn #astrophotography last nightβ¦ NGC7789 Carolineβs Rose in Cassiopeia, & the always impressive M31 Andromeda Galaxy.
With proper darkness gradually returning I turned my #StellaMira 90EDT telescope towards the Seahorse dark nebula (Barnard 150) in Cepheus this week.
Quite pleased given limited imaging time & NE Londonβs Bortle 7/8 light pollution.

Just watched- great stuff.
Must get back to Penmachno⦠Both of these photos are single exposure, same camera settings etc taken 24 hours apart- not hard to tell which was taken there & back home in London.
Blink and youβll miss it!
I captured a solar transit by the International Space Station today.
Pic is composite of 19 frames, the transit lasted less than a second.
Definitely getting into #GalaxySeasonβ¦ a selection of some lovely sights in the spring skies, imaged from NE London early April with my 6β StellaLyra RC scope.

Managed some #astrophotography last night⦠first visit this season to the Rosette Nebula in Monoceros
IC434 Horsehead Nebula in Orion
NGC1499 California Nebula
First #Astrophotography honours for 2025 go to the always impressive Horsehead & Flame Nebulae in #Orion & the California Nebula in Perseus
Taken from Chingford NE London 2 Jan with StellaMira 90 EDT & ZWO 533MC camera.
I love the result a @solarcan.bsky.social givesβ¦ a 31.6 million second (give or take a few!) exposure of the sunβs path in 2024.
Double Cluster in Perseus
California Nebula in Perseus
Flaming Star Nebula in Auriga
Clear nights seem to be a rarity at the moment, so when the clouds finally departed the other night the telescope was ready to go⦠I captured images of the Double Cluster & California Nebula in Perseus, & the Flaming Star nebula in Auriga.
