Thanks @globalnews.ca and Karen Bartko for supplying the stats that show the current decrease in international immigrantion and increase in interprovincial migration. This puts the argument in a whole different light.

This approach and subsequent restrictive policies may create a whole new set of problems for the province. Both economic and social.
