Operators Lime and Voi manage 4k+ scooters across 1.6k+ parking bays in 11 boroughs.
TfL is now seeking bids for Phase 3.
Before dockless was mainstream, Ryan Rzepecki founded Social Bicycles, embedding GPS and smart locks into bikes.
That evolved into JUMP Bikes, a pioneer in dockless electric micromobility, later acquired by Uber. JUMP bikes remain the gold standard in shared micromobility.
