The Fifth Element: How to Unrig an Unfair System.
An 18yo arrested for a singlet. The architects of Robodebt walking free. You pay more tax on a beer than Woodside pays on a cylinder of our gas.
This is not bad luck. This is a rigged system.

If as a species we are going to evolve we need to manage complexity better.
Simplistic policies, sensational headlines, 240 character summaries, populist driven polling, lack of an ideological framework ... this is what it leads to.
Eventually people get hurt.
Do you seriously think the total of a person's experience is found on LinkedIn?
I don't have to tell you anything about my life or experience. What a nerve!!
The same week the Albanese Government joins a war, they cancelled one of the major transparency measures in Defense.
If the media ignored him that would help to make him less visible - it's hard to comprehend why the US media keep amplifying his existence
So, someone who claims to run an intellectual property management company appears to have no understanding of knowledge generation or transfer, how it flows through systems. This is what devolution looks like.
You include the staff and negotiate - they probably know what is happening. Brutal answers are not the only ones. And I do actually have the skillset thanks for noticing! But don't share details without a fee.
Only if you are simple. There are ways to compete without making people expendable - just cutting people is crude and unimaginative. He's a billionaire because of them!

Youβre meant to tax things you want less of & subsidise things you want more of.
Yet Australian governments are handing out $16.3 billion in subsidies for fossil fuels.
@mattgrudnoff.bsky.social & @elinorjohnstonleek.bsky.social discuss why on this episode of Dollars & Sense.

Morrison one of the six referred to anti-corruption commission Sarah Basford Canales Sarah Basford Canales Former prime minister, Scott Morrison, was one of the six people robodebt royal commissioner, Catherine Holmes, referred to the National Anti-Corruption Commission. The final report, released this morning, found two officials β Mark Withnell and Serena Wilson β had engaged in serious corrupt conduct. The report found the other four, however, did not. The other four names referred to the Nacc included Morrison, Kathryn Campbell, Annette Musolino and Catherine Halbert. Morrisonβs failure to realise the bureaucratic advice was misleading, the report found, was due to both the social services and human services departments failing to advise him and other ministers that new laws were needed. Campbell was one of two named by the Australia Public Service Commission in 2024 after it found 12 public servants, including Campbell and former department head RenΓ©e Leon, breached the code of conduct 97 times during their involvement in the robodebt program.

Turns out Atlassian is just another Big Tech company and all those 'values' espoused were performative
Australian electoral processes are not as vulnerable to big money as in the US.
But notable that the interests trying to buy political power in Illinois - the Israel lobby, gambling interests, and billionaires backing hard-right candidates - are similar to the forces of darkness in #auspol.
So dumb
The worst part is that they, and their staff, are too dumb to figure out they could replace them with the same shoes in the correct size.
It's no longer OK for you to sit in the house of Lords because your dad did.
But if your mate put you there?
That's fine.
Neither of these really feel like democracy to me.
Send them an invoice.
Why focus on the disapprove data, the real story is how high the approval ratings continue to be - 85% of 77 million people is still 65.5 million Americans!
What would it take for them to change given everything we know, everything we see, everything we hear?
Its unfathomable.
It's time theft as well as discrimination.
OMG how frustrating. Hope you are OK.
We need to talk about non-white racism and racial hierarchy.
"A 37-year-old man was interviewed by police at the scene and was then given a direction to move on."
It seems staggeringly unlikely if a Muslim came in throwing fists, threatening to kill people and shouting anti-semitic slogans at kids during Hannukah they'd be allowed to leave peacefully.
