Sorry for always being late to discourse. I just remember being told once that it wasn’t worth writing about an indie if I didn’t have anything nice to say. Never sat right with me.
I’m probably (clearly if you’ve read my work) the biggest believer in writing criticism of indie games like you would any game. The second we treat indies with kid gloves is the second you feed into the narrative they are less then AAA for some reason

Yeah, totally get weighing the choices and deciding making a complete (if truncated) version of the original plan is best. Sucks devs have to do that though, especially for a game that I did hold a lot of promise for that original three act pitch
update that sort of acts as a quicker payoff because of that fan growth feels a bit weird to me. I don't really love seeing stories change based on fan demand like *this* if that makes sense. Obviously i think the worry is fans wouldn't stick around so capitlize on attention now.
So, real thoughts, i feel conflicted. I personally would actually prefer seeing the original vision and be happy to pay for all installments no matter how long it took. The yearning is the juice. While its nice to see a dev get a passionate audience for a great queer game, the pivot to a free...
