Fun thing to think about very briefly: who currently has better lawyers, the United States or Nintendo

Yet another tech worker who bemoans capitalism. Sorry! There are a lot of us! I help maintain fennel-lang, a smol lisp that embeds in all the things. Always trawling for new music, esp. avant-anything. He/they works π€·

mock up of a bright pink sweatshirt with BIKINI KILL written in alternating turquoise and white letters
One day only, limited edition sweatshirt available for it:
Get you some Bikini Kill merch for a good cause! bikinikill.bandcamp.com
(it's Bikini Kill's fundraiser she's talking about, not Bandcamp-wide - which I mention because it confused me at first, lol)
ahahaha, I came very close to writing a whole post about how shocked I am by not only Bandcamp's platform and good vibes not being ruined by Epic selling them to songtradr (tho still mad about the layoffs at that time) but also doing stuff like this, but I second-guessed myself at the last minute

I'm not the man they think I am at home

I can only quote the great Annie Dillard and her magnificent "Pilgrim At Tinker Creek: "Fish gotta swim. Birds gotta fly. And insects, it seems, gotta do one horrible thing after another."
If you're a vegan it is okay to eat a comet but not so much an asteroid because they're a little meteor
Terrible. I will be repeating it to every vegan in my life
YOU ASKED FOR THIS!

There are fun surprises, like track 28 of the first volume, which is out of nowhere a synth pop ballad about Doctor Who. Lemme tell you I was not expecting TARDIS noises that deep into a musical document comp, but in hindsight I should have youtu.be/Vle_lsjDDRs
Ohh I bet you'd love the compilation series I found it on. It's syndicated again so I'll link responibly www.qobuz.com/us-en/album/...
But the first is also great - this one's not on any streaming service afaik, I tripped over both poking around IA archive.org/details/va-m...
dooming my grandkids to own the libs
Joe Rogan has boofed so much HGH that his head is the exact same size as that bust of Lionel Richie in the Hello music video
Now more than ever.
It's such a banger, too. A few weeks ago some friends and I did a deepcut.live session and we were all feeling spicy about politics so it ended up primarily an impromptu protest playlist. And this was one of my first picks because fuck I was also feeling New Wave π www.youtube.com/watch?v=lV5d...
itβs weird to see any of this happen as weβre at war. like isnβt it just β¦ weird? like why are we doing this while weβre at war like what the fuck is wrong with us
weβre at war without a vote why are we passing random βchild online safetyβ bills if not because weβve already failed as a state
Japanβs seasons can be divided into seventy-two sub-seasons. This concept originated in China, and I really love the idea that the seasons move through such subtle, almost imperceptible changes. It reminds me that someoneβs music, or how we feel on any given day, can still matter in the world.
The auto mix after the last album I listened to hit on my krautrock collection so this was the track I finished listening to before playing yours, and the two work totally well together www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b68...
Oh I love it. Felt like I was playing a classic 16-bit adventure, but with wilding David Lynch vibes
probably going in the scrap but felt somewhat shareable
I'm just pleasantly surprised nobody yelled at me for all of the other Really Bad Stuff I still omitted so I could keep some of the relatively frivolous ones. The frivolity was important for tone, lol
