Honestly, I’m sick of googling words & phrases in academic writing. There is something so alienating about academia as a first generation PhD-er (actually any degree-er). This is not the language of my youth or my everyday. If your work makes people have to hit Google every third word, do better!

For anyone who's weary of glib responses and superficial "answers", this book faces the pain with rigour and integrity.

It's painfully ironic that the amount of clerical bullshit you have to go through to get ADHD meds is the exact kind of clerical bullshit that most ADHD folk struggle with.

It's equivalent to, 'Ouch, broken leg? Don't worry! We've got some crutches for you at the end of this marathon.'

I’m doing some writing today on the racist roots of diet culture & honestly, if you’ve got anything to do with promoting diet culture yourself, you need to be thinking about this stuff and examining the history closely.
