Sounds like he would follow Ford's logic & pardon Trump for "the good of the country." Which helped get us here (see also post-Civil War nonprosecution of confederacy).

Republican reps aren't lacking in courage, they're lacking in decency. They aren't afraid of Trump, they are on board with what he's doing because it's what they've been wanting & doing for decades. Scapegoating immigrants, marginalizing women, reversing civil rights gains, demonizing LGBTQI . . .

To be fair, she was right. He did learn his lesson. That lesson was “Republicans will let me get away with anything as long as I continue to make all of their wishes come true—shred the social safety net; transfer money to the wealthy; gut regulations; blame it all on women immigrants & POC.
