Trust Mo to riff on the inferior remake with Mark Wahlberg and ignore the original with Michael Caine.

We (the missus and I) always stop at Leicester Forest East when travelling on the M1
Three movements. Love the beautiful second movement.
Average White Jimmy Smith?
Need a joke about fresh cable (and 15 Watt bulbs) here
Great album, but so sorry to hear that Ralph Towner has passed away. Must get my vinyl copy out and play it later.
This one is right up there with the one about Martha-Ann Alito's tramp stamp. Bravo.
Someone on Reddit has named it "Microslop"
I picked up my SK1 for a fiver at a charity sale. With box and manual, too. The bloke selling it thought I was daft for picking this teeny keyboard from the stall when there were others that looked better to him. Now if only I could find a Digital Horn for the same kind of money...
[Points to humans at next table] "I'll have what they're having."
Bronze plaque saying "A Letter to the Future. Ok is the first Icelandic glacier to lose its status as a glacier. In the next 200 years all our glaciers are expected to follow the same path. This monument is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it. August 2019. 415ppm CO2"
TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from OkjΓΆkull to Ok (jΓΆkull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".
Great album, why it spent so long in the can is one of those little mysteries

Excellent stuff, thanks. Mention of Skyport Radio reminds me of related station Uptown Radio which was one of the best London area land pirates.
In unrelated news, HubNut on YouTube is selling Twc the Invacar
RIP Jack de Johnette (*1943 + 2025). Listening to his music today.
I found some old recordings of the Lincolnshire Poacher I made years ago recently. Not as creepy as some number stations but definitely the best run and it's British (allegedly, ahem).
Her body language says it all, no need to hear the words.
One of those albums which I saw back in the day but never got round to buying. Still regret that. Mark & Mike talked about Wally's contribution to Level 42's sound in their interview on Gilles Peterson's show last month.

Sonny Stitt on tenor for this one? Must have been after Trane left.
I did it for Steely Dan in 1996, but agree.
Yes you can.

Looking forward to Gilles Peterson's show on 6music at 3 with Level 42 live at the Maida Vale studios.
Fred Harris also presented children's TV on forces network BFBS.
There's an excerpt of the Aum Shinrikyo tx from Radio Moscow on Jonathan Marks' Media Network archive recorded at the time.
