My personal view is preteens should still look like kids but taller. So he has presets that give him a child like face. This is a teen sim. But I have mods that make him a preteen.

I posted this on all my social media accounts a month ago. and someone told me I should make a tutorial because this is a realistic preteen. I don't know how well it will do considering people aren't as fond of the sims anymore. But I might do it. Alot of this preteen is sliders and body presets.
