Same! It's crazy. This one states they may take quite some time to make a decision, so I need to wait.

Subbed a short on the 1st of July and watched the rejections tick down on Sub Grinder over the months. The market in question came down to 5 subs, but that was well over a month ago. Then it stalled, and there's been nothing since. Writing is a game of patience.😅

Did you know that the average acceptance rate is around 2%?
Even after years of experience and years of submitting, I still get rejected, as do others. You must not take it to heart, seriously.

Same here! My pinned post is missing, plus the one I posted approx 20 mins ago only shows on the phone, not the PC. I assumed it was just me.

I first read Heidi around the age of 8, but certain parts still stick with me. Giving it a re-read for the sake of posterity.

I do think there is some subjectivity to the definition but I'm hoping that we can keep it from becoming so wide-encompassing that it's use as a term becomes meaningless (personally I blame the marketing folk 😅).

Marie Vibbert’s MULTITUDE explores the concept that we aren't the only intelligent life in the world, an idea which has long fascinated humanity. But if, in fact, aliens exist: what would they be like?

We would like you to write a hypothetical meeting between humanity and a form of alien life. It can be from the human's perspective, the alien's perspective, whatever you want! Write a fantasy, sci-fi, or horror microfiction piece up to 300 words.

Email the piece to darian@apexbookcompany.com. The top three will be voted on among Apex staff, and the winners will be published on the Apex blog, as well as sent an ARC of MULTITUDE and a keychain! Contest closes on March 9th.
